New video series in which I sit in a bathtub and in one take without any notes try and describe a complicated idea surrounding the world of cognitive linguistics. In the first episode I talk about modularity and how we use compartmentalization as a core concept to understand complex abstractions such as identity.

Embodied Cognition states that meaning is derived metaphorically from the body. Given that our body is subject to the laws of physics, physical laws should tell us a lot about meaning, causation, the will and how we negotiate blame. In this episode I cover applied force, gravity, magnetism and electricity and talk about the various ways we use these forces to talk meaningfully about the world.
